Big Friendly Garage is an independent local garage located deep in the Sussex countryside that offers a comprehensive range of mechanical services and used cars at great prices.

Nestled on a small bustling campsite bordering Sheffield Park Gardens, near Uckfield, we are proud to offer a comprehensive range of mechanical engineering services to the local community. 

A unique feature of our garage is rebuilding existing cars that may be in perfectly good condition and have suffered a major mechanical failure that a traditional garage would say is uneconomical to repair. These cars will more often than not still have many years of good service left to offer so this is an economical and green approach to transport. We are looking into expanding into hybrids and electric cars with the same ethos in mind. We offer a full range of mechanical services to the public from routine servicing to full engine replacement and have recently acquired two recovery trucks so that we can offer local recovery and pick up. Finally, we have our sales side of the business where we have a range of vehicles that we are offering for sale.  

We have a pool of part-time staff and partners who occasionally cover holidays, recovery, and periods when we are particularly busy. This wealth of knowledge allows us to offer excellent value for money by repairing or rebuilding where possible rather than replacing which is more economical and environmentally friendly. It is rare for us to say no to a job, but on the occasion we do we will always try our best to help you find a suitable alternative.
